Live edge table with Sassy Legs design and bark inclusion to maintain natural and unique look.
Ash and legs
We use our Sassy Legs™ design for each Ash live edge table, which means in addition to the slab itself being unique, the legs underneath maintain the natural twists and turns created during their growth. The table’s support is not compromised in any way by using our Sassy Leg design.
Please note that Sassy Legs is only available for Ash tables.
Outfit your table
If you’d like to have your table installed with electronic hookups, including North American outlets and/or USBC, this can be done no problem.

Power hookup is possible with your live edge wood table order. Coffee table example above.
Live edge philosophy
“Live edge” or “natural edge” wood is a minimally processed product. Live edge retains the natural form of the tree from which the board was milled. There are many benefits to using live edge materials:

-
The aesthetic is both striking and natural.
-
The product process and home and office-use is practical.
-
Each live edge table is unique.
-
Bark inclusion, meaning keeping the bark from the tree as part of the table, can sometimes be included and adds even more character.

Live edge wood cannot be mass produced efficiently, so consumers can trust that the item they purchased truly was hand-made. All of these characteristics of live edge are part of Dead Tree Legacy’s philosophy — every tree has a story, a legacy to tell us even after making their way from the soil to the salon.
Local deadfall and the Sun
All of our live edge wood is natural deadfall — we don’t cut down a single tree that hasn’t met its end either through storm or age. We either find the wood in the forest, glades, or even our neighbors’ back yards. Our live edge wood keeps the ecosystem living by respecting our wooden folk who still have many breezes to greet and animals to shelter.

Rather than furnace-blasting our wood with fossil fuels, we use home-made solar kilns to cure all of our live edge wood. There’s a lot of power up there in the sky, and it’s our responsibility to use it wisely down on the ground.

She ain't pretty, but she's our first version of the Dead Tree Legacy solar-powered wood kiln.
